I want to write a dictionary software, web based or application based...

but since I am a newbie, I want to ask about what datastructure is normally used in dictionary software?

and what kind of database should i use? mysql? or just normal text file..

i have reviews on both.6800gs has got great reviews but i have heard that ati delievers better graphics.frame rate of both is satifying.i can't decide which one to choose. i think pricing of both does'nt has much difference.

I'm looking at buying a new wireless router. I need some advice for which one would be the best.
I'll be living with 2 other guys. All three of us are heavy internet users, and I'm a big online gamer (Xbox Live).

I want to add an explorer thumbnail to a file to show the contents inside the file. This is just like what PDFs, BMPs, PNGs, GIFs, and all the other image formats do. The thumbnail is to be shown in Windows Explorer when the files are under Thumbnails view.

I've heard from my family from oversea that the ISP (Internet Service Provider) can stop user gets online if they're using Router to support Multi-Computer online. So far that I know is the ISP is ADSL/DSL and also the ADSL/DSL modem doesn't require any driver or software installed(I think that it mine be the treat at the first place). However, as long as the user name and password setup correctly in the router config should be able to bring the router online, the router acts nothing but just a bridge or gateway between the ISP and the computers, right? Anyway, it seems really hard to be done in my knowledge (I've build custom desktop/laptop sales at ebay for 3 years). Is it a way to get it done? How? How to get through it or how to get the router working? Seems very interesting to me. Thanks help!

I don't want to use IDE cables, if I don't have to. What else can I use to connect it?
I just bought it from newegg.com and I didn't recieve any instructions, any cables, any software, just a box full of styrofoam popcorn and the drive. For whatever reason, I was an idiot and bought OEM...I just overlooked it. I don't guess it's a huge mistake to do so on a DVD-Burner, it's my first build and I would like some instruction (Sony Optiarc, 18x DVD+/-R).

Why would my new laptop I bought today from Walmart say that it has 80 gigs of memory right on the sticker on the keyboard interface, when it's opened up. . .. and yet it shows two hard drives w/ 33.3 gigs each (69.9) total? ( When I look in the computer properties) Is there a mistake? I also read that it had 1020 or so megs of ram and yet it shows it has 768 megs of ram in the properties - not so sure about the exact numbers on that one. The model is an Acer Aspire 5050-3371
any suggestions? The great thing is - their computer in the electronics section ( which helped consumers shop and compare) was off and no one knew how to turn it back on - and I went on Walmart's website when I got home, the model wasn't appearing !!! But I did see there apparently is one with more ram and memory that comes with a whole bunch of accessories as a package, that will be in stock this weekend, that costs $50 less than my purchase. please answer the first part essentially.

I inadvertently downloaded an unwanted virus-like thing (it doesn't show up in the "remove programs" nor will it let lavasoft adaware remove it nor will my AVG protection identify it. But it controls my home page, has a bar on top that says :Security Toolbar 7.1 and a pop-up on the bottom that wants money. I am being held hostage by this thing. Please help, I am not that computer literate so please give step by step directions if you know the process! Thank you.
