I've heard from my family from oversea that the ISP (Internet Service Provider) can stop user gets online if they're using Router to support Multi-Computer online. So far that I know is the ISP is ADSL/DSL and also the ADSL/DSL modem doesn't require any driver or software installed(I think that it mine be the treat at the first place). However, as long as the user name and password setup correctly in the router config should be able to bring the router online, the router acts nothing but just a bridge or gateway between the ISP and the computers, right? Anyway, it seems really hard to be done in my knowledge (I've build custom desktop/laptop sales at ebay for 3 years). Is it a way to get it done? How? How to get through it or how to get the router working? Seems very interesting to me. Thanks help!
**Router works perfect, tested 5 different brand new and different brand name router.
**PC can only get online when directly plug in the modem
**Originally using Linksys Wireless Router

yes u r right...
How ISPs block a connection is by looking at their usage rates, like a monthly usage of 10GB data... its not bad but the ISP suspects that its service is getting misused in some form.... not whether the connection uses a router or not... many people need to use a router to the connection since they need to support more than one PC or Laptop at home... its fair...

Earlier the ISPs used to have "single-computer subscriber agreement"... but now they don't bather since the network devices have improved many times... and for good to support data loads easily... since they might run out of business if they stick to those stupid agreements any longer.. :)

in case you pick on the spot on your place you will ought to get a router or some sort of on the spot connection to have the skill to apply on the spot at living house. in case you do no longer pick to try this you will get any determination of internet provider this is on your area the two modem or extreme velocity internet cable and not use the on the spot card this is on your computing device. in case you bypass to cafes or different places like a campus or some downtown area's that grant on the spot internet then you definately are already set to apply those centers.

I got busted by Comcast a few years ago for setting up a router! They charged a fee for additional computers and, though I don't know how, they knew within days that I had set up a router and was using multiple computers with a single-computer subscriber agreement!
