i have reviews on both.6800gs has got great reviews but i have heard that ati delievers better graphics.frame rate of both is satifying.i can't decide which one to choose. i think pricing of both does'nt has much difference.

In this case, it's no contest. The X1950 Pro wins hands down. The Geforce 6800gs is an older card that doesn't perform nearly as well as more recent cards. The closest Nvidia competitor is the 7900GT, which is a few steps up the product line.

The X1950PRO is a much better card as it is a generation newer than the 6800GS & supports shader model 3.0. My X850XT PE is better than the 6800GS & is from the same generation & the X1950PRO is better than my card & would love to upgrade. This is comeing from someone who has never owned either card you ask about but have read alot about them. Do your research but for me I would go ATI hands down.

Personally, I trust the GeForce brand. I imagine that this would just be a matter of preference.
