modular bay is your hard drive or optical drive. Touch pad is part of the "palm rest". Call dell tech support if youre out of warranty you may get sent to out of warranty service

Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop is great for everyday computing, poor for gaming. This is because the processor used may be good (Intel Core 2 duo) and the amount of ram may be right (3gb + ram) but it uses a Intel GMA 4500MHD which is very bad for gaming. There is an upgrade option to Ati mobility radeon HD 4330 but that is still not good enough for gaming.

Your cd drive might have come loose, try pressing it in firmly. OR you might need to reinstall your drivers. Put in your Dell CD, the drivers are there or go to the Dell website and download them.
