All other configurations suit except one. Vista asks 15GB of Harddisk space. Is that much required?
C- 2 GB free
D- 8 GB free
E- 6 GB free
F- 7 GB free

Can Vista run on my pc on any of the above drives? I got Vista as a Birthday present so no money is involved. Can I revert back to XP later if I want to?

By mistake the user accounts on my computer got switched. I am now logged into a new account and i cant get back into the admistrator account which is supposed to be the default account when i turn the computer on. the admistrator account has a passsword which i dont know. Any suggestions

Have 2 desktops for office. Trying to connect to wireless router that is a floor below us. Have a voip system. Once desktops are connected wirelessly, can I plug the voip router (linksys 54g/wph ports) into desktop via eithernet. Will this work? According to voip you are supposed to connect modem/internet directly from modem.

Is there anything in the CPU that might want to be replaced?
while migrating my mom got shipped by sea and they but it on the wharf when they were unloading, and there was a heavy rain, and there was no place in the storeroom to put it and they left the CPU box outside in the rain, now my CPU won't beep or turn on or a light comes on then it sounds as if its starting but then now beep. is there anyway which i can get a CPU which has gotten wet to work?
my data was saved, but i can't afford to buy new pc...
is there anything in the CPU that might want to be replaced?

they refuse to pay for leaving my pc in the rain...all they gave was a sorry...

i brought it to the IT department but they said they are not sure that it could either be the motherboard or the processor...

I have a WHITE iBook G4. Well, it WAS a white Mac anyway. It's gotten a bit on the dirty side in the last few years, and I would like to know if there were some easy ways to clean it without resorting to go to Fry's Electronics to buy some super-uber, fantastic computer cleaning product that costs a bundle. I've tried water and tissue but the dirt is resisting my attempts! Other than that, if there is no other alternative, Fry's here I come!

I'm shopping around for a notebook computer and am constantly seeing the nVIDIA logo followed by a series of numbers, and an description declaring that it is the latest and greatest in 3D rendering. About an hour ago, I even saw the nVIDIA quadro... no numbers following it all!

I am not an intense gamer, but I do love to play my share. I especially am thinking of something like WoW or really any MMO, and possibly some FPS games. Can someone explain to me the number system behind nVIDIA and give me some direction as to which are good, better, and best?

I have recently bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium installed. Everything works fine, but after 1 day my IE stops working and i get , " A problem caused the program to stop correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So i check windows updates and none. Has anyone come across to this problem? Is there a way i can re-install IE7? or fix the problem? Thanks

i want to instal windows media edition, and my hard drive by, factory setting, is already partitioned into 2, Local Disk C and Local Disk D, my question is can i just instal the OS on Local Disk C and justput all my files, like music amd movies and pics on Local Disk D, and if so, when i do instal the OS would those files be lost? Can any one help me? and would it be hard to instal it?

I have decided on buying Intel Core 2 duo 1.8GHz E4300.
I also thought of going for Intel DG965 RY Motherboard.
But some of my friends are saying go for ASUS or MSI as Intel motherboards now adays are giving problems.
I will use it majorly for using Microsoft Office, browsing net, watching movies, copying pictures from Digital Camera and playing few small Games.
Please suggest me which mother board is best for Intel Core 2 Duo E4300. Is Intel DG965 RY good enough? I have read the specs of DG965 RY? Specs looks good. How about reliability and performance?
Is ASUS or MSI motherboard better than this at the same price range. If so, please let me know the motherboard name with model number..
