There is so much out there regarding inkjet refills, bulk ink, re-manufactured cartridges etc. but are there any printers that just have much bigger cartridges that don't require frequent refills or new cartridges?

Not as such, however there's an alternative system. Continous inking systems connect carts in a NORMAL printer to large tanks of ink beside it.

I've had one on my epson R200 for a year or so now, had to refill the ink bottles a month or so back.

Have a nose at www.coninuousink.com and see if they can help ya

Yes, go find yourself an old style HP printer.
Anything in a deskjet 700, 800, 900 they use huge cartridges that are widely available in remanufactured varieties. They are also very durable and easy to refill yourself.

The cartridges numbers you want are black 51645A and colour 6578, 1823 or 6625

You can find an older style HP at some pawn shops or electronics recycling depots. They were very widely purchased printers and are still available. Even check Ebay.

You can buy bulk ink systems for most Epson Printers, however a bulk ink system is only economical and functional if you are doing a high quality of printer, at least a few pages per day. You do need to modify the printer and thus void the warranty as well as many Bulk ink systems are problematic.

No , it is a big scam to get money out of your pocket.
They sell you a cheap printer that needs expensive cartridge refills.
Thats how they make money.

I don' t bother at all with color printing and for text I use a laser printer and get 1 year out of each cartridge , which is equal to several big boxes of paper.

I do a lot of printing.
