yep - there's not much of an alternative to windows, except linux. but if u're a hardened gamer like i am, linux can never cut it. sure u can't get many viruses in linux, but what's the point, if u can't have fun ? some ppl may consider surfing the web and listening to music fun, but i'd rather listen to metallica while shooting the hell out of ppl in CS 1.6 :))

There is linux. Linux is free and has very viruses that you can catch. Linux Ubuntu with Beryl can make it look like vista with osx 10 visual effects. Linux is for browsers, listening to music, and etc... Not really for gaming (doesnt support a lot for gaming right now) You can download it off its site.
