I am networking professional and I want to learn LINUX O/S .

It's a little bit of a learning curve. Give yourself a few weeks and you'll be pretty good at it. Once you get all the commands memorized it makes things very easy.

its totally depends o nur need, what kinda work u wana perform on linux machine, do u wana use it in home just like ur xp machine. wana use in network envoirment as a client workstation or wana configure it as server. if u have unix based os know how then its not hard to learn lnux concepts.
other wise if u just wana take its basic knowledge like installing it, and using it as a client computer then u can be familiar with it in one month, but daily practice is required. its better to take trainig fom some expert.

Not hard, as an informed individual you probably can dance around it very soon without the beating your head to memorize part.
