First off I'm just about to build a new pc with sli and i was looking at the bfg 7950 gt since its not too much for a great perfromance, but it doesnt have directx10, should I be concerened that future games? will they drastically suck since ill be on dx9 or is it not that big of a deal?

Also, which is better bfg 7950 gt 512 mb or xfx 7950 gt 512 mb, is there really a difference here or am I basically paying for the name that comes on the card? Whats the deal here?


Lastly, dx 10 will work on dx 9 just not as well right? Will sub dx9 games work better on dx9, or even work at all?

Any help would be very, very much appreciated.
My laptop is a Dell Latitude C400 (a bit on the old side now) And for a long time the fan had been getting louder and louder, although I hadn't noticed because it was quite gradual. Well it was rattling a while ago and then just plain stopped. It's out of warranty,etc so I opened her up and unplugged the biggest hair/dust/crap ball ever! It was amazing that it hadn't stopped a long time ago, poor thing!

So I start her up again and the fan doesn't start. Ever. I looked around for weeks for stuff online and finally heard about this program which can force the fan to go faster or slower or stop, etc. I get the right version for my latitude and wey hey the fan starts spinning (beautifully silent I might add). But after about a minute it stopped again.I decided maybe the problem is the computer communicating with the fan so I reformatted the entire thing, did all the checks afterwards and it still isn't working. heat test showed it at 0rpm.

I have talk talk broadband and 2day my connections from my home computer dropped. I have uninstalled it and then installed it. The problem is -it says it is connected but does not let me go to the email section and says that it could not access server files......

My neighbors computer lost all sound capabilities (except for pings when something is deleted, etc.). No video sound, etc. When I checked her audio status it says NONE INSTALLED. How can I get audio back on her PC for her. Mine has SoundMAX Digital Audio, but I don't know where to get a download for that. Can anyone help?

I signed up with verizon for dsl service. Recently someone in my household unknowingly signed up with cablevision and had them install the internet as well. Now I have two wireless routers and when I try to unplug one, the internet won't work and it's the same for the other. One can't work without the other. And now I'm afraid that if I cancel service with one provider, that I won't have internet. Why is this happening and what should I do?

my dad got an email from optimun online yesterday saying we're being warned because someone was downloading movies. i was using limewire and i downloaded torrent files and use bitcomet. i got a warning, so i know im not in trouble, but which program do you think got me caught, limewire or bitcomet.

also, do you think i should completely stop downloading movies, or should i wait a few months before i do it again?
