I have just install XP Pro, so I went to Microsoft to download IE7, I go to choose operating system, and when I download, a window pops up extracting some files, then gives an error message! Any other place i can go to get this, or what should I do?

you should also have included the error message you get in the question, but here's what i can say. IE7 is not totally compatible with XP, bcoz IE was made for Vista. You can install it on XP but you will get problems in the long run. I suggest you download and install IE6 instead.

Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and download Mozilla Firefox. I use it at home and it works beautifully with XP. BTW wanna know where IE7 came up w/ tabbed browsing? Answer: Mozilla. Its only 5.7 MB so it wont take too long to download. One other thing go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1269 and download fasterfox it will decrease page load times greatly (I speak from dial-up experience) Other add-ons are available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
hope this helps.

It might be helpful if we knew what the Error message was, then we might be able find a fix, or patch or whatever. Could you give us more to go on please ?
