and won't come out. Finally I used the emergency eject to take the pieces out. But the thing is that I just finished installing Office03 from the same CD and pressed the eject button when this happened. So, the CD was seated properly. What could have caused it to break???

Last night, when I was turning off my computer, it took longer than usual to pop up the little sign that says restart shut down...., this isn't the first time it did this. Then it takes longer than usual again to shut off. I tried turning off some of the useless programs before turning it off and it had the same result. Please help me. Surely someone has done this before but I especially need help with the typography and knowing which Windows fonts are equivalent to which Mac fonts and so forth. I've also noticed that deep maroon fonts seem to look more reddish so what are some things like this you've picked up on. I can only occasionally view them on a Mac and can't sit there and tweak them like Firefox and IE on Windows so it's a pain.

I am programming an application to save out some files. One of them is named "PRN.csv" I get an error in Windows saying that this file already exists. I have checked and the folder that I am trying to save it in and it is completely empty. This happens no matter what directory I try to save it in. If I try to save the file from Excel, it gives me an error saying the filename is a reserved device name. I have never heard of anything like this happening. I searched the registry and found nothing with "PRN.csv" Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I recently bought this motherboard from a friend who said it was a great one and said that it was compatible with the Core 2 Duo processor (which is what I want for my new desktop). Well I was browsing through the internet and everywhere I went to, all of the sites said that this motherboard was only compatible with the Pentium D, the Pentium 4, and the Celeron D processors. I am a pretty hard-core gamer and wanted the Core 2 Duo because I heard that it was much better than the rest. And now I was wondering, even if this motherboard says it's not compatible with it, and it uses the LGA775 socket like the core 2 duo, would it do much to my motherboard if i put a Core 2 Duo in here anyways?

I have a few questions to ask because I don't know who right or wrong

1. My friend told me it cost a lot of money leaving your computer over night but my uncle said it only cost like 12 cents for 3-4 hours with the monitor off.

2. some people said leaving computer on is much better because the computer running at it pace saying it badder for the computer to be turn off and on. Others said it will over heat and the fan will die out and make the computer run slower.

3. They said virus and hackers can get in overnight though my friend told me if I had a firewall, spyware protection, virus protection and maybe a router that has a password lock on their no way a virus can leak in.

So who right and who wrong?

I got a few virus before, I cleaned it but since then I am getting this Windows blue screen, with that referecence memory error.

Its Windows XP, so I am not getting any command as scandisk to cure bad sector.


I tried to restore my system thru windows and it did but still blue screen appear now and then

I tried to restore laptop using Dell restore also, Mine is a dell laptop.

Though it restored but yet problem of blue screen is not solved.

I tried disk clean up, de-fragment. Thorough Diagnostic of Dell, but nothing worked.

Please tell me how to get rid of this blue screen.

Dell don't give any installation Cd for windows so I can't format and re-install windows!!!

please suggest!!!
