Question

i have just used norton system works, now when i boot my computer it boots up to my welcome screen saying i am logging on and then it tells me i'm logging off and it shuts down
tried, starting in safe mode but it freezes

If you cannot log onto Windows or get into safe mode, then Windows is useless. You could try using another OS (like DOS) to get your computer up and running and try deleting the Norton folder and try again.

Other than that I would say it is time to reload Windows - painful but it seems like we all have to do it once in a while.
