First off I'm just about to build a new pc with sli and i was looking at the bfg 7950 gt since its not too much for a great perfromance, but it doesnt have directx10, should I be concerened that future games? will they drastically suck since ill be on dx9 or is it not that big of a deal?

Also, which is better bfg 7950 gt 512 mb or xfx 7950 gt 512 mb, is there really a difference here or am I basically paying for the name that comes on the card? Whats the deal here?

Lastly, dx 10 will work on dx 9 just not as well right? Will sub dx9 games work better on dx9, or even work at all?

DX10 card will work on dx9 games and vice versa of course the enhancements u get with dx10 will not show through playing sub dx games. And as far as whether bfg or xfx all depends on either price or personal preference. Some cards even same nvidia model may perform differently when made by different branders, such as bfg and xfx. One company may use better memory or better heatsink. One card may be overclocked 10-20-30mhz so on and so forth better then the other card. Do a little homework on the specs of the card and price and compare the two. Also check on newegg for user reviews of both cards.

no u would need a dx10 card like the new ATI series or nVida 8800. DX10 wont but rolled out 4 a while though. there is no diffrence between those ard, they use the same chipset just from diffrent companies.
