In the above site I have shortlisted 2 models one is for Inspiron 6400 with Intel® Core™ Duo Processor for HKD 5888 (US$ 755)
& the second one is Inspiron 6400 with Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor: HKD 6688 (US$ 858).

The expensive one is with Core 2 Duo processor. What is the difference in core duo & core 2 duo processor. Which one to buy & should be value for money !

By the way, I need this notebook only for internet with wireless connectivity, photos, documents or sometimes for gaming.

right wel basically, i turned my computer of my switching it of not the proper way i just lyk pulled the plug out, neway, now it comes up with the safe mode stuff, n whichever one i try, i.e. if i do start windows normally, it goes ahead then quickly flashes a blue screen, to quick for me to read, then it restarts, comes up with the same safe mode screen n this time if i do start windows in safe mode, it wil do the same and reboot.

I just purchased an Acer Aspire 7112 and it looks like it only has SPDIF audio output. I know it's a digital output but does anyone know if there is an adaptor that can go from SPDIF to RCA stereo? (ie plugging in speakers or even just headphones). Or is there another normal audio output on the 7112? Help!

I have deskop pc... and configration is Gigabyte Technology 2004 RZ Series Motherboard, 512 mb RAM, AMD Athlon 2000+ processor, VIA onboard chipset...... onboard memory is 32mb(shared memory)... and i tried to increase that memory on bios setup but there is no option to increase.... so i want solution for it... please help me....

I have an old school Dell computer. Dell Dimension 4100 to be exact... It has a 120 GB extra hard drive on it, plus a high speed internet connection... So basically, what I'm saying, is that it gets the job done. I have a less then one year old Samsung HDTV, and it has HDMI outputs, S-Video output, Y-P- whatver the smurf it is outputs, basically everything you need.... I want my PC monitor to display on the TV. I know I need to get a video card, plus a cord, I got a buddy that is going to hook it all up, I just want to know what people recommend. My computer is definitely not HD, my TV definitely is, and I want something that will optimize the potential between the two... I want to be able to watch my computer movies on my TV... I will either be shopping at Best Buy, or Fry's Electronics (I live in AZ), or on the internet, depending on the responses I get. This is my first time posting on here, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Hi,
I just bought this morning a 1 GB ddr2 Ram and installed it in the second slot of my notebook's memory.
Now my question is, when i had only 256mb of memory, my operating system used an average of 80mb when no programs are running.
Now that it has 1.27GB of memory, it is using 450mb of memory with no applications/programs running. why is this so?

we just baught a linksys WRT150N (wireless-N) because our other router (which is a wirless-G) wasnt working right.[[it would just out of nowhere stop the internet from coming in]] and all of our computers have a wireless-G/B card in them...and the old router will work [[amazingly]] but then a seccond later the new router wont let the internet in?????

b.t.w. we have satilight internet if that has to do with anything....

please help im getting so freakin frustrated...thx

trying to play a dvd in nero showtime and I get all kinds of little black dots jumping around distoring my picture.

I don't think its nero, my drive, or my video card. All have worked perfectly in almost every sense..

I might have a problem with firmware or codecs, since these have been updated sometime ago.

where can I get a nice bundle of codecs for dvd viewing in nero?
and do you think thats the problem?
