it works o.k otherwise it just seems to be when i'm on ebay.Can anyone help?

Try a different browser and see if the same thing happens.
IE: Firefox, Opera etc.
If it doesn't it's your current browser, re-install it.
If it does, it's most likely Java, go to www.sun.com and download it again and install.
If it still happens run some antispyware programs and make sure everything is clean.

It's probably not ebay, there are some other reasons. does it blue screen, if so the error code tells you whats wrong. Does it just freeze, you've probably got a bad IE because of all the junk you put on it. More than one toolbar (more is NOT better) AOell browser, hotbar, browser redirectors and browser "helpers" (hurters) may be your issue. Uninstall all the junk and youll have better luck. You might also want to use a back up browser like the excellent firefox
