I'm 17, I live in a suburban area, and I want to get a job but my mom won't get me a car. She says I should just look for a job a ride my bike. Thing is I kind of feel like a loser having to ride my bike when most people have cars. Should I do it regardless?

Okay, when I drive, I keep imagining that I'm going to crash head on with an oncoming car. I'm just a beginner really, and I really want to learn how to drive but the thought of a car accident inhibits me from driving well. Plus, I'm almost completely ignorant of basic driving common sense. Seriously, my knuckles are white when I grip the steering wheel! Does anyone have any tips on driving before I want to just give up alltogether?

I have two choices.

1. Take my driving test in a big city (more traffic, etc.) in late July.

2. Take my driving test in small city (less traffic, etc.) in late August.

What would you do!????!!?!

The book for my ranger states that using a bigger than specified tire can make the Traction Lok rear axle less effective. The spec. tires are 235's I need new tires and I was planning on getting 245's. My truck has 214000 miles on it and is in quite good condition. What do the larger tires do to the rear axle to make it less effective?

I know you've seen these trucks driving around. Usually it's a white bobtail truck or some other white vehicle. Almost always in black print it will say fish on the side or back. Why? It's weird to me.

i'm gonna be 16 in 9 months, and we're starting to look at cars.

my dad's seriously considering getting me a used porsche boxter, as long as it's around $15,000. I doubt i can get 20,000 out of him.

so that's like a 1997, 1998.

And i don't want to hear "Ohh, you're a spoiled bxtch, you'll be too irresponsible, you're bragging, etc"

no going off topic. k? K. ;-)

My sister was trying to be helpful, and washed my car this morning when I left for a mother's group with my son. When we got back, I noticed that she had put wax on it--great! It needed to be waxed.

Apparently it got too hot or maybe she really did have to work on VBS. Whatever the issue, I just noticed that she buffed probably 1/4th of the car and it's been about 6 hours!!

I just tried to go out there and work on it, but being 8 months pregnant and with a 2 year old it's pretty much impossible. It's caked on.

Should I try some more after my son goes to bed? Should I continue buffing or just wash it off with car soap and water? Any ideas?
