whats the best technique to do a good burnout in an 96 ss camaro 6 speed? What rpm's should i bring it to, ive heard people say to just slam it to the floor and heard others rev it up and gradually get the rpms up...and when i pop the clutch do i just pull my foot off all at once or do i gradually let off? Also while its burning out do i just keep the gas to the floor.....what does that do to the rpm's do they keep climbing and will i eventually blow the engine?? Do i shift in the middle of the burnout for better and longer reults??also...what kind of damage could i do to my car...dont wanna do anything permanent to my toy??

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in two years but I just got tagged for one in a speed zone (camera)
what now, other then the ticket in the mail? does the time frame effect how many points will be taken off or does it soley rely on how fast i was over the posted limit?

I doubt most drivers of such cars know that the stripe or stripes can be of some benefit to driving down the road, but I don't know the right way to use a rally stripe. I sort of get the idea of a single stripe in front of the driver, but tell me more. What benefit is it to have a stripe on the passenger side? I've seen a few cars with only one stripe and it's on the passenger side and I don't get it.

Thanks.

I'm wondering why you can't take the body of a Porsche Cayman or any other nice car and put a more affordable V6 (or even less powerful) engine in it. I'm sure you can still design the engine so that it balances the car and does whatever other aerodynamic functions it does.

What they hell are they doing? Showing off? This road isn't even 1/2 a mile long, so they can't drive very long before having to slow down anyway. Isn't it bad for your car to speed up very fast and then slow down suddenly? I doubt this guy has a high quality car as I don't live in too rich of a neighborhood.

Could they be trying to piss someone off who lives on this road?

But they do this EVERY NIGHT (at least, when I stay up past midnight) and I think it is more than one car because I will sometimes check to see what car it is and sometimes it's a different car. Maybe 2 guys competing?

Just wondering. I had a friend mod his old VW Bug, and gets waste vegetable oil from the local Long John Silvers, for his car to run on, and I swear the car smells like fish sticks! I think it is a cool concept, keeping emmisions down, but I was wondering what other people think of this. AND, if could CLEAN vegetable oil be ran, why does it have to be USED oil? Thanks in advance for your input.

I've got motorcycle + car out here for the summer. I drove the car out, bought the bike here, now I need to get em home....preferably for less than a small fortune. Is there any way to combine the two into one shipment to save money? Anyone ever done this before?

If you use a calculator when you buy fuel, it often comes out to a fraction of a penny/cent. How often is the amount you pay rounded up in favour of the oil company?

I drive a newer BMW. An older lady in her Mercedes got out and was giving me dirty looks at the gas station. She was parked across from me. ? Do mercedes drivers hate BMW, let me add my car was a lot nicer and newer than hers, but why the dirty looks?

I know this question seems weird, but I'm looking for a first car and everyone keeps recommending me nice conventional junker cars.

I realize it makes sense, but I want to drive something in style, and frankly, I'm into the sharp looks that a sports car would offer. I mean I was thinking of getting a Ford Mustang, a BMW 330ci, or a BMW 850i. I am obsessed with the design and the image it would give me. But what everyone keeps telling me is that I can't handle a car like that right now.

So I was thinking of looking towards sports cars with low performance or cars with a sharp look like that of a sports car.

The only car that comes to mind right now is the Mercury Cougar: http://www.dragtimes.com/images/9467-1999-Mercury-Cougar.jpg

Any more suggestions?
