what are those electronic speed detectors along side the road?

it had one of those electronic speed gauges along with the posted speed limit,is it funcational ( it takes pictures of speeders) or is the device just a deterant for speeding?

speed back and forth and see what happens. Experience is the best teacher.

You'll get your ticket in the mail. They capture your license plate number and then they cross-reference it with their files and send you a summons. Good luck.
