I drive a newer BMW. An older lady in her Mercedes got out and was giving me dirty looks at the gas station. She was parked across from me. ? Do mercedes drivers hate BMW, let me add my car was a lot nicer and newer than hers, but why the dirty looks?

no, im not being paranoid, she was parked directly across from me, got out of the car, kept staring at me looking back and forth between me and the car and gave me dirty looks, she was a snooty looking older women driving an older mercedes

don't you know bmw drives are snobs just kidding there is a perception of bmw and like cars are only driven by rich snobs. but i know you not just ignore them and keep a stiff upper lip. next time you get a dirty look just wave to them and say hiaallll doin. people have that stereo type mind set. just go out of your way to be extra friendly and see what happens. you will get the last laugh.

First off, how do you KNOW it was "dirty look"? Maybe her face looks that way all the time. I have one of those faces that looks pissed off whenever I'm not smiling...do you know how tough it is to smile all the time?
And if she does have an issue with folks who drive Beemers, that's HER issue, not yours...so why worry about it? I'm sure you'll get lots of smiles, too, hopefully from nice people. K ;o)

Obviously she graduated in the top 10% of the Aristocar School of Snootiveness. I personally would have stared her down right back.

I myself drive a CL500 Mercedes and ofcourse, I have paid a lot to get that car and I don't like the competition so anybody who I think have a slightly better car than I do, I try to smoke 'em. "Leave my dust for them to eat"
It's a pride enigma that most people would face once they buy a new car.
"You pay a lot of money for a car. You should get a lot of looks at your car."
I guess its the way it goes really...

That would be because you cut her off before you pulled in the gas station! Don't be so paranoid...she probably is just snooty that way...or maybe she just didn't like the way you looked.
