whats the best technique to do a good burnout in an 96 ss camaro 6 speed? What rpm's should i bring it to, ive heard people say to just slam it to the floor and heard others rev it up and gradually get the rpms up...and when i pop the clutch do i just pull my foot off all at once or do i gradually let off? Also while its burning out do i just keep the gas to the floor.....what does that do to the rpm's do they keep climbing and will i eventually blow the engine?? Do i shift in the middle of the burnout for better and longer reults??also...what kind of damage could i do to my car...dont wanna do anything permanent to my toy??

Dude, what's the point of having a sports car/muscle car if you can't do a burnout!!!

I got a easy way for you to do a burnout............buy a Mustang!!!

Myself, I would raise the rpms up to about 4-5K and then let off the clutch quickly, not just slide my foot off the clutch, but raise my foot off the clutch. I would hold the rpm below the redline figure.

Now for the down side. You can tear out your transmission, you certainly will waste a set of tires, tear out u-joints, wear out clutches, rear ends too.

I know it is fun, and I'm sure it impresses your friends. I have found out how thin friends get when you need $1000 or so to replace the transmission, or another $1000 for the new tires. This doesn't even take in consideration the cost of gas.

I don't think you want to do this on a regular basis. It's just too expensive anymore. good luck.
