My wife and I went to enew our licence today and we have the same conditions.
It costed me 90 dollars to renew my licence and I had to take a picture.
My wife only had to pay 20 dollars and she wasn't required to take a photo.
I tried asking the lady that was working there and she refused to answer and was very rude. She told me to call this number -
416-235-2999 but it was only machine operated.

I recently came from another country so I am confused!
Please tell me the possible reasons why it costed me so much and how much it usually costs to renew your licence ?

I basically had an accident last November that wasn't my fault. I was on a roundabout and someone pulled out of a junction slap-bang in front of me, and slap-bang went my car into the side of their's. After a long time of wranglings between me and AA they have finally said they'l be sending an "independent engineer" to come and look at the car to establish who was at fault. I assume "independent engineer" means a guy from a local garage, as I doubt AA have assessors travelling the country looking at peoples cars. Can I expect this engineer simply to take notes and then report the facts, or can I basically expect this guy to ask loads of probing questions while he is here in a bid to make me say something he can use along with the damage to say it was my fault? I think he may not care less if it is a mechanic from a local garage, but though I'd ask for advice from people who have been in the same situation - particularly with the AA (or anyone who works for the AA).

It has my vehicle number plate on at all times and is not causing an obstruction as it is parked in a parking space off the main road designated for my car, it is not causing an obstruction nor blocking visibility of any crossings. I have had it parked there for over 4 months now and it, without the problem until now, I think one of my neighbours has complained. Do have have to move it or have I got aright to park it there?

I know this has been asked before probably more times than anyone can count, but I have not been able to catch it to get the answer.....Why do some countries drive on the left side of the road rather than the right side of the road, and also why is the drivers side on the right instead of the left

Late last night, I was in an accident and now my car is totaled. From what the officer told me, he said that my insurance company would pay the blue book value of my car and if I owed more than it's worth, i'll have to pay the difference. I live in a big city and public transportation will take 3 hours to get to work and 3 hours to get back home. I'll have to deal with it until I get another car.

I haven't called my insurance company yet though. How does this process normally work. What do I say to them? When will they pay the blue book value for my car. Is there any way I can get out of paying the left over value for my car? The difference between what I owe and the blue book value is roughly $2,000-$3000., so once I get a new car, I will still be paying for 2 cars right? Sorry for all the questions. I'm really confused at the moment and I need all the helpful answers I can get. Thanks.

Kinda stuck in a crossroad right now...I want to be a computer engineer or something along that line ultimately, but I also want to be able to fix up my own cars and maybe some friends/family. I know, huge differences. How long would it take to become a good enough mechanic to fix most car problems and have good car knowledge?

As I was driving home before the inside of my windshield fogged up. I put on defrost (that turns on the a/c automatically) the inside unfogged and then the outside fogged up. Its was either one or the other. Any way for it to be neither. I have 2001 compact, so its not full of many special features.

I am looking for a transit type van as some of the places i want to visit have high crime rates and a camper van may attract attention from thieves. I am looking for an older van with a very reliable engine that could travel pretty much clear accross the world with a few problems as possible, any sensible ideas welcome.
