oh this is a loaded question..

height is a question of money.. how high do you want to go..

There are two ways to lift a truck.. there are suspension lifts and chassis lifts..

suspension lifts are bolt on kits that lift the truck by means of making the suspension peices hold the frame up higher. and are cheaper than chassis or frame lift kits. they are also easier to install.

Chassis or frame lift kits are more comprehensive.. they are more expensive and require much mechanical ability from the installer. they work in a combination of changing suspension components, and springs to raise the vehicle.

of course you can raise any truck "a little" by installing larger diameter tires but i would not recommend it because it can sometimes cause you to rub the tires in the wheel wells when cornering.

There are two options available. YOu may want to go with a body lift or you may need a suspension lift.

Which option will be best will depend on how much you want to spend and how hard-core your off-road use is.

Contact a local truck accessory shop and they can advise you as to the best option for your needs.

Get ready to toss any warranty you have out the window. Any repair work will probably be out of pocket unless you have the lift approved by the dealer. Guess you bought the truck with the wrong equipment.

Go back to the dealership and see if they can do anything. And i dont know if a colorado is the best truck to lift.

Get like a 13" lift kit and 22" swampshredder tires. Not cheap but will definitely look real sexy

I would check with your local dealer where you got the truck from.. see if any modifications you do will void the warranty
