I dont think so.. the learners permit is only for u and ur parent. 6 months after u had ur learners permit u get a provisional license.. and then u can drive minor.. even without ur parents supervision,, but the limit is only one . 6 months after u had ur provisional license u get the real class C or whatever with no restrictions..

You just have to have someone 25yo or older with you in the car when you are driving. In California, as far as I know, unless the law changed.
