Legally, unless your street is an unadopted road, like mine is, then no, you don't have a right, even if you think it's not causing an obstruction. It's to do with taxation and insurance, and if it were to be hit or to move for some reason and cause damage, then you would be prosecuted and likely face a big fine.

My advise - Keep your tabs current and a note on the dash saying that this vehicle is not abandoned - with your contact info. Street parking is under the jurisdiction of the city. They can tow a vehicle that is not abandoned for a number of reasons - usually if its parked illegally, blocking something, tabs are expired, or if its blocking construction. I had a car towed because they decided that it was in the way of some construction. Your neighbor can complain, but legally cannot have the vehicle moved if it does not violate a law.

in a word no,
you don't have a "right" to park there as it's public space not your own private drive way.
it depends on your local by laws but some of them will say that the parking spaces are for vehicles with road tax discs in them and you'll have to move it onto your own property.
i must say, from my own experience, that it can be annoying to come home at the end of a day and not be able to park anywhere near your own house as someone has left a caravan there (sometimes for months at a time without it moving at all!!)

Thank you neighbour for the inconvenience, i had a trailer parked for 2 years until a new neighbour complained!
Now whether you have a right to park it there, check with your council, all i know is once the "boat is rocked" you may have problems, good luck in any case.

It depends on the terms of your Deeds or Lease for your house. You may find there is a clause prohibiting the use of the space for anything other than a car, or a specific clause preventing the keeping of a caravan.
