what could be wrong with it?

The quad has only covered 630 miles since new and is only 2 years old. It runs o.k, other than a little tapet knock, and pulls fine on take off. It just doesn't seem to produce power after a few thousand r.p.m, i.e 1st gear it'll go to say 14 and then it takes the rest of them to get it up to 20 m.p.h

For a while I have been wanting to buy a motor scooter, and now that I have money saved up for one, I am going to do it. Problem is, I can't decide which brand.
I have been leaning toward a Vespa GTS 250.

Are there any other brands of scooters that I should consider, ones that are cheaper than Vespas, but made in a similar style. It needs to be at least a 125.
Thanks for all your help!

I was wondering if it would be safe for me (an eighteen year old girl) to ride a motorcycle in a big city. (it would be a sports bike). I wouldn't be able to lock the doors like I can in a car. I appreciate your thoughts on this!

Best if under $1500. I don't care how it looks or what year it is as it gets from point A to point B. I will be carrying a large backpack and a small tent with a sleeping bag. I'm not looking for a huge bike either, I'm a very small guy. Thanks.

Does a 1980 Suzuki TS 2-stroke need a reed valve, It is on the underside of the barrell?

I had the bike in bits and there was one in the box and i bolted it on, but in the manual there is no mention of one at all.

Could this stop it from starting as currently it wont start and i wanted to have a good idea before i started disassembling it?

Thanks.

Since 2001 I have purchaced 4 new bikes, 1 used bike and 1 new ATV and I had 3 warranty problems and the warranty claim was rejected and I was billed for a repair that wasn't covered under warranty.
I had to pay $130 for the dealer to tighten up a battery terminal, and I even had to pay $80 for a repair and $10 for a roll of electrical tape for a repair that should have been covered under a recall.
Does anybody else have problems with their dealer when it comes to warranty repairs, or is it just me?

I have an 800 Suzuki Intruder, that I bought new several years ago. I have spent a great deal of money maintaining her and dressing her out. She fits me,as I am a woman of small stature, light, and low to the ground, easy to back up and manuever at an idle speed. She has been a good machine, never getting me in trouble in traffic...........

Recently, I have met some fellow riders of Harley's and bigger cc bikes, who tease me and call my ride a "baby bike". It is starting to get on my nerves........... what is a "baby bike" and what is a "big bike" or a "real bike".

Thanks to any and all who can honestly restore my faith in the machine I can afford.........

Shouldn't all these pocketbike questions be asked under toys? Really. They have more in common with electric skateboards.

For my Shadow 600. Aside from turning off the gas, do I need to do anything? Disconnect the battery? I probably won't ride it for about three months. And this is in Dallas, so I'm not planning on any freezing weather. Thanks.

I bought a '05 Harley Ultra Classic and in making trips of over 100 miles I found out the stock seat is about as comfortable as a bed full of cracked walnut shells.

Anyone have any experience with an aftermarket replacement seat that's comfortable? Any recommendations on a seat that would be comfortable for my bony behind?

Because Christmas is coming up pretty fast, I was wondering whether or not I should get my 14 year old son a pocket bike. Money's not an issue here. He's mature, and I know he'd try to be as safe as possible, but we do live in New Jersey. It will probably be the x18-r which is about the size of a real motorcycle. I'm still debating this because I dont want to get in trouble with the police or anything. What do you think?

I would think Democrats since they are peaceful and free. Plus a lot of the Harley riders I see don't look like the they have jobs. Except for all the posers and yuppies that only ride on the weekends.

I've got a 2001 Fatboy with about 600 miles on it. The tires look like they have plenty of tread left, but they are getting little cracks in them. I don't get it. I squirt Armor-all on them every weekend when I polish the bike, but it still looks like they dried out. What new tires should I buy that won't crack so easy?

My shifter sticks up or down, depending on what gear I am going into, when shifting. For instance, when shifting up into second gear, i must gently tap the shifter down to the middle postion in order to continue to shift into third gear. It almost feels like the spring mechanism that returns the shifter isn't working properly. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks...

I live in the uk and i'd like to start importing mini moto's from china and re-selling in the uk, but don't know where to start. I've seen various sites on the internet, claiming to be chinese suppliers but, i've also heard a lot of horror stories about people being ripped off. If anyone can help it would greatly appreciated.

I prefer sport bikes but I have never hated HD's.
Why not hate cruisers in general?
What brings out the evil from your finger-tips when a Harley is mentioned?
I would really like to know.
P.S. I had a Fiat Spyder that broke down once a week but I still have some fond memories from it.
