I don't know how to ride yet. Do you have any suggestions on a "good" first time bike? Also is it true they are cheaper in the winter? Any tips you have would be greatly appreicated.

I am a new rider and I like the cruiser style motorcycles. I've talked to sales people at the shops and some riders. Been getting mainly two options. 1. Get a small bike like Honda Rebel 250 and trade up once you get comfortable. 2. Or get a 500 or 650 any brand to learn.

Everyone says if you get a 250 you will get bored and want to trade up in a month or so depending on how much you ride. The 500 ~ 650 are small enough to learn but powerful enough to keep.

I plan on riding almost everyday around town to run errands, grab lunch at etc. I work from home so I do not have to commute to work. However when I go on sales calls I plan on driving my car.

Please help?! I am 5'9" 150 lbs

I'm thinking of buying a motorcycle so that I can ride it around town, but I'd also like to take short off-road trips on some of our local dirt roads here in Arizona. I'm not talking mud, or boulders -- just the kind of bad roads that require a 4WD. Would it be practical to buy a cruiser and sometimes take it off road, or do I need a bike that is explicitly dual purpose?

I'm working on a project for school and have to come up with a campaign for Harley Davidson. We are looking to market to all woman and younger men ages 18 - 34. If anyone has any input on why they are not interested in riding, I would love to hear it. Same goes with if you are a rider. What do you ride and what do you enjoy about it? Would you change anything about Harley Davidson?

I'm thinking of buying a vespa to commute to work (cental london, 5 miles). I'm new to scooters and thinking of buying a vespa as I love the look of it. I have a few questions before taking a decision:
- is a vespa (vs. Other brand) a good investment. I know it's more expensive than other brands but does it keep its value if I was to resell?
- what is the cost of having a scooter in terms of insurance, MOT, road tax...etc?
- should I buy a 50cc or 125cc?
- is it better to buy new or secound hand given that it's my first one and it will sleep outside on the road but in a garage during the day?

Sorry for all the questions but would appreciate your advice.
Thanks!

If so, what year and model, how long have you had it and what is your favorite ride?

I have a 2002 Dyna Lowrider, I have had it 3 years and my favorite ride is to Sturgis.

Do you like the new models that have come out? I am still waiting for the Rocker to get off the production line, now they say January. I am a short woman and the Rocker looks like it would be lower to the ground than my Lowrider, which has been lowered. But I am concerned about the 36.5 rake on the Rocker, is an extended fork harder to manuever?

If you can post a link to a picture of your bike.

When i try to start my pocket bike it sounds like its about to start and may start for a second or two but then turns off. It also leaks out the carb and the piece that connects the carb to the engine. It all started when I took out the carb and cleaned it. It seems like its getting too much gas

My woodruff key got mangled and dished out the end of the crank shaft where it seats. It also wore down the inside of the flywheel channel. Is there a way to fix them? Can I have someone build up the dished out areas with some weld?
