do most people who had a serious motorcycle accident get mild traumatic brain injury, and if they do, do most recover completely?

I bought a new bike a few months back, it is carby, 250cc. Anyway, when I go around corners and sometimes just going in a straight line I go to accelerate and the bike stutters for a second, then resumes accelerating. I have taken it back to the bike place but they think I am nuts. I tried it again but it still does it. Mainly when it's slightly colder but still, there is a definate problem. Any ideas appreciated.

i just sold my yamaha raptor 660 ATV, it's a very powerful vehicle, but i bet you know that... it's not an automatic, the gears shift just like motorcycle gears, with klutch and everything...
i'm a grade A driver on this ATV, very fast, have it go on 2 wheels (side or back), plus i should mention, here in lebanon, atvs are considered as cars, so i would go on the freeway on that thing, and all over the place, it's perfectly legal...
now i saw this beauuuutiful green kawazaki zx-9r.. totally took my breath away... my question is.. would i be able to handle it???
i've driven a ride bike before, a steed 600 and an intruder 1400, but they're too different i guess... plus it was a long long time ago, and it was just for a drive around the block..
i know this bike is not something a female should be driving, but do you think i have a shot? i would so love to get it for x-mas.. i would appreciate any advice i can get, thank you.

I took one for a test ride and i was amazed the power and quick acceleration it had, and with the windsheild and the seating postion its quiet and wind free that you can hear the birds singing as you ride, I love that scoot!

I strongly believe people don't want to sell good bikes. People sell their bike cause they don't like it or it has problems.
Or many HD Owners sell their bikes in the classified cause their dealer offered them too low of a trade in price.

When you measure chain slack does that include the width of the chain link too? or just from the top of the link to the bottom of the link? Also how important is it that the rear wheel be perfectly aligned... can I just eyeball it with the marks or is it neccessary to measure?

I have a 2002 honda silverwing. After not starting all summer I started it up. I was getting alot of hesitation and sputtering. So I figured my fuel was bad and my plugs were fowled. When I emptied the fuel I noticed rust coming out. I put an inline fuel filter and new plugs(the guy at store gaped them). I drained out the old gas found rust and put fuel filter and a gal and a half of premium in the tank and now it will not start. I checked for spark and did see spark. I also checked the air filter. I've got 4000 miles on her and changed out the 1st set of plugs before summer. l and found rust in the fuel when draining it. I put a fuel filter in line so I would not have to pull the tank.

I just got a new textile jacket. Where before I had to support myself from a foreward lean, I now have to hold myself from going backwards from wind blast. Does a tighter fitting leather jacket have less of this sail effect or is it about the same? Is there any remedy for this other than laying on my tank, which is not to comfortable?

Many people say Harley Davidson motorcycles are the worst bikes in breaking down and require high costs in maintaining. Leaking oil is the most common problem mentioned.
The people who say this are people who don't own a Harley and hear about it from other people or former Harley owners who owned a Harley years ago.

However, I never hear anything bad about Harley's straight from a person who currently owns and rides one. Maybe older Harley models had problems and HD fixed them?

So, for those who actually own a Harley and is a newer model, 4 years or newer, have you had any major problems and does your Harley require much maintainence other than normal that you would expect compared to other motorcycle manufacturers of similar cruiser bikes?

I'll need to put a new rear tire on a street bike soon (R1), I do lots of mountain riding and love getting into the corners better than speed.

How much should I look to spend for a new tire? Is it worth it to pay 50-100-200 more for a fancy name brand kinda thing, or would I not be able to feel a difference?
