Bike wont start after some rain got under the seat. All other electrics (lights etc) are working. tried all obvious stuff.

yes, practically any ignition key system is by designed to to be by passed, and a lot easier than most would think, but there is no way I would go into it on the Net...

First look at drying out the high tension leads (spark plug wires) because with the high voltage, it's easier for the juice to leak away when connections are wet. Remove the plug caps and make sure they're dry inside and make sure the little rubber seal that covers the area where the plug wire connects to the plug cap isn't torn and has let water in. Also check for wetness where the plug wires enter the coil. Some coils have removable plug wires while others don't. From there, use a blow dryer around the connections leading to and from the CDI box.

What's rain getting under the seat got to do with starting it without the key?

does the engine turn over? if not check starer solinoide.
if it does check to see if you are getting a spark, if not check connections for coils, spray with WD40
