some states dont have no passenger age restriction; ohio is 1 of them. ur state might. this link will show ohio's laws, but u can bounce it to ur state. http://home.ama-cycle.org/amaccess/laws/result.asp?state=OH

now if there is no age restriction, but he/she cant reach the pegs, i'd recommend (just to be on the safe side) 1 of these: http://www.childridingbelt.com/engprod.htm

i was on a poker run last season, and there was a kid on the back of a scoot that couldnt reach the pegs. the rider shoulda had at least saddle bags so he wouldnt have been so close to the swingarm.

riding a 4 month old on the street i wouldnt recommend. i dont think u'd be able to get a properly fitting helmet for a kid that young.

I seem to remember that A child has to be old enough to legally ride in a car without a booster seat before he/she can ride as a passenger on a motorcycle. But, I'll add that as dangerous as bikes are, I would never have let one of my kids ride on the back at that age, and I've been riding for almost 42 years now. Also, just to be safe, contact the DMV in your area and get the real facts for your state.
Good luck.

Laws are different in different places.
In the States, it can vary from state to state.
Where I live, the requirement is any passenger must be able to reach the footrests. Note that they do not have to be in the stock location. This so-called requirement is not listed anywhere, but the police enforce it. Below is a link to our law which says where a passenger must sit.

Sorry, south of france, my oldest was riding with me at age 6.

First of all, i would never take an infant on a motorcycle. If you have an accident, he's dead. You fall off the cycle due to an accident, you land on the baby, he's smashed. Do they make helmets small enough for a baby that size? And second of all, how does being formula fed have anything to do with riding a motorcycle?

not a good idea. i always made sure my kids could reach the pegs and hold on tight before i took a ride with them. you can buy a strap with handles that goes around your waist for them to hold on too, but then again the child must have the strenght to hold on. i think you will be to busy worrying about your kid instead of watching the road at such a young age.

Sorry, this sounds like an incredibly bad idea, regardless of legality.
