I'm tired of people telling me I have a headlight out and I don't want to run my high beams

i think it is ok for you to just ignore them, in the 2007 ca motorcycle hand book it states that you can use your high beam day and night, i don't see why it would be any different elsewhere. however, if you live in foggy or rainy conditions, you're supposed to use your low beam.
it is probably the wiring, mine only has a low beam, so if it is still under warrenty you can take it to the dealership, if not you can pay for it if you don't know how to do it.

Anything is possible with a little creative rewiring. I assume only one headlight is illuminated when the switch is on "low" beam and you want both illuminated on "low". The "high" beam headlight probably only has one filament and when it's illuminated it will always be on high beam. You might try adjusting the high beam to shine lower so it won't blind oncoming traffic and then you can leave the lights on "high" all the time. The down side to this solution is that you'll lose your long range high beam when you really need it. Best bet is probably to just ignore people who don't know enough about bikes to understand how the lights work.

Yes.
Remove a bulb from the headlight and bring it to an auto parts store.
Get an H7 bulb with the same mounting base, with dual filaments (high & low beam).
Buy some connectors that will fit on the bulb's terminals.
Splice the wire from the low beam (white) into the bulb you just acquired.
Blue is for the high beam.
Green is ground.

Be careful splicing into low beam circuit as you could overload the designed use of the stock wiring and blow a fuse or worse melt your wires, go up in flames.
