I'm just wondering why my breaks are squeaking?? I got new break pads back in 2003, would this mean I'm going to need a whole new set of breaks? It's a 2000, so it's going on 8 yrs old. Do you know what that would cost?

My horn quit working on my car. So I checked my fuses. And sure enough, one was blown. So I replaced it. Now when I press the horn I just get a click from the fuse box area. Or possibly underneath it if thats where my horn is located. Any suggestion. I need to get my car inspected, and don't want a ticket because of my STUPID HORN.

I have recently developed a problem with my 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe. I was driving down the interstate one night when it literally felt like the engine tried to jump out of the car. My check engine light came on immediately and I pulled off the road and called my husband. It drove fine for him on the way home. The next day, he drove it into town and had it placed on a diagnostic machine for the check engine light. Whatever code it was, indicated that we needed to take it back to the dealership because of a transmission issue. On the way to the dealership, the light went off and the dealership said that without the light being on, they wouldn't be able to tell what the problem is. We drove it around town(no long trips) the following day and it did it again. We stopped at a stop light and it would not go. My husband had to manually shift it into second to get the car to go. It has a semi-automatic transmission. He started it last night and actually got it to go into first gear.

Does anyone have some knowledge on shifting problems with these transmissions? I have a 99 GTP that I just
bought used. I feel that it revs way higher than it should (~5-6000 rpm) at highway speeds. So I went to a parts store and got them to do a free scan on the PCM computer. A DTC
code of P0756 came up. It refers to the the "2-3 Shift Solenoid Valve Performance". The info the parts place gave me on P0756 states that if the PCM commands 1st gear, but the gear ratio indicates 4th gear for 2 seconds, or, if the PCM commands 2 gear, but the gear ratio indicates 3rd gear for 1 second then DTC P0756 sets. This has the following action:
-The PCM illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp
-The PCM commands 3rd gear
-The PCM commands max line pressure
-The PCM inhibits TCC
-The PCM freezes shift adapts
-The PCM stores DTC P0756 in it's history
Would I be correct in telling the tranny guys to basically not fool around and just go straight to the 2-3 shift solenoid? Suggestions?

I ran out of room to completely state my problem, so here it is:

When I put on my emergency blinkers, only the left side will blink. So I thought maybe the bulb on the right blinker stopped working. But when I use my right blinker normally to turn right, it will work. What is going on with my car? Any ideas? Maybe a fuse or something.

I have a 97 pontiac bonneville. when i start the engine up the oil pressure's fine util it gets warmed up then the needle drops. It doesnt go all the way into the red it just fluctuates right over it at idle. Would replacing the pcv valve and putting a thicker grade oil do anygood? Or could it be the oil pressure switch malfunctioning?

I have a 1994 buick le sabre. When i have been coming to lights recently and go to pull away, my car races for a few seconds before engaging and pulling away. The best way i can explain it is it's like dropping it in neutral and pressing on the gas. It doesnt happen everytime, and only when i come to a complete stop and go to pull away again. Could you please provide me with possible reasons why this could happen, AS WELL AS ways i can visually check to confirm the problem. I want to diagnose it myself. Thank you.

The problem is I got the front two bolts out and the back two refuse to budge. I WD-40'd it to death, yanked on it with ratchet, nothing works. I broke the socket trying to move it. Its a 15mm.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE. I went to get an oil change and I was about 2 quarts short on oil and the term "blow back" was used on my print out. I called up to the place and the technician said it could be a bad PCV Valve. The oil change before that, there was some oil under the top of my 2.4 Liter Quad 4 Engine. Some of the oil had gotten on my spark plugs and made 2 of the 4 bad. I had to replace the coil housing (which includes the 4 spark plugs). They told me that the valve cover gasket and one other gasket located under my timing chain was worn and needed to be replaced. I also have skipping when I idle and the engine is working harder to go uphill as if some of my plugs are shot again. It has never put me on the side of the road before and I keep it in the shop anytime I hear or feel anything irregular. I know the PCV Valve is cheap, but the other work we cost me some serious labor. Someone please enlighten me on this situation before I put any work into this car.
