i have a 1996 mazda 626 lx with a 2.5 engine ,with overdrive, and the drive is out on the tranny and all the rest of the gears work fine .do you think i need to over haul the tranny or parts can be just changed out on it , like the valve body . thanks Van

This began about two weeks ago and I am wondering if it would be that my tires need to be realigned or could it be something more serious? I need to drive to another city soon but don't have money to check the car right now. Any help would be appreciated. I keep my car serviced well and it has fairly new tires with good tread.

My 88 T-bird was running fine for having over 180,000 miles on it. One day I was leaving for work when I noticed a lot of white smoke billowing from the back of the car. I stoppes immediately to find that I had water running from my exhaust pipe. Others have told me it is either a cracked block or a blown head gasket. I'm looking for more opinions.

We have a 94 Ford Econoline Van with 110,000 miles. A few weeks ago we used it to go to a store, and when we came out of the store it wouldn't turn over and start. The engine was getting juice, since the radio played. AAA couldn't start it either, and towed it to a garage. The garage went ahead and did the annual inspection on the van, and said it started fine for them. They kept it for two days, and said they never had a problem starting the engine. Well, here we are a month later, and one of my kids just called to say he's stranded in the van since the same thing has happened again. The garage suggested we get it towed to them again. Any ideas? My kid says he turns the key and the radio comes on, but the engine is completely dead.

Anyone know what the outcome of pouring transmission fluid into the gas tank? My boyfriends truck got egged and had what appears to be transmission fluid poured into his gas tank. He opened his gas cap and its all red now. His truck is shot and now he has to buy a new vehicle. Can anyone tell me what the gasoline may look like. We have a sample. Any help would be good. The police are not doing anything about it.

The truck was starting and idling hard, the whole entire engine shakes and it sounds like it's misfiring. He hooked it up to a diagnostic machine, nothing is reading. Now he can't even start it. He thinks that 2 of the 4 cylinders are busted. He also thinks that something may have gotten in the header. He had a mechanic look at it, he told him that it would about $2000. They would have to start at the tank and follow the system to the front and figure out what got in it.

I just ordered some new polished aluminum rims for my truck because I've had problems with chrome plating peeling off chrome rims in the past. I've heard many products can take the finish off polished aluminum and was wondering what is the best product to use without taking away the shine?

My car has been in the shop for five weeks and they still havent finished reparing it!
There is collision damage in the rear- Not that major.
How can I get my car back if it is in pieces and they wont fix it 'cause they are waiting on some part.?Can I sue them?

This car has been a pain In the butt for me, It Is a 1993 Lincoln Town Car Signature. It keeps putting really bad and has very little power to It and only gets up to about 30mph and If you try to press the gas pedal down It sounds like Its under water and makes crackling sounds and wont alcelerate. I replaced the battery,Altenator,Fuel filter and spark plugs the wires look almost new. Maybe the EGR Valve?

Any Idea what this could be without me taking It to a shop?
Any help would be great!

i have a 93 saturn strate drive 5 speed i was going to work yesterday and after i stoped at the store and going to take off again i lost 1st gear then i lost 2nd gear i still have 3rd 4th 5th and (r) what might it be i dont think its the trasmistion cause if it was i would not have anything. but any idea what it might be HELP

I was driving to work, heard a small noise like air was just let out of something, pull into work (actually coasted in), and my engine light comes on. I popped the hood open and there is a hole in my crank case cover on top. I am no mechanic, believe me. Just by reading this any idea what it could have been? Threw a rod? Since it was on the top of the crankcase would I be able to have that replace fairly cheap if I can find one in a junk yard (the casing)?

One note...my car didn't lock up, my oil light never came on either. I didn't find any "debris" from the engine anywhere either.

Belt was replaced but looked good. Upper idler was replaced and belt tensioner is good. After starting engine two inside groves on lower left idler are showing. Bearing in idler are good and spin free. Could idler have been installed incorrectly?

I was driving my car and stopped it to get my mail. When I tried to start it again, nothing. Then the inside lights started flickering from bright to dark, and the gauges all went haywire. I tried to jump start it but it didn't work.

It's a 2002 jeep grand cherokee.

Any ideas?

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger just bought a 15x8 rim didnt think to much about the size when I order for some reason was woundering if they would still fit my truck or do I have to send them back. I'm supposed to have 15x7. Its a 2wd. The company said I would be fine but wanted to ask all the mechanics out there what would be best to do.

I have a '97 Mazda Protege. Recently I sent it to the shop to have my waterpump fixed and on the way bringing the car back home it still overheated and now it won't crank up. I've been told by many that it is my heads and that they are warped. I've found someone to pressure wash and rework them but now everyone is telling me that it will be a waste of time and I should just look into buying another car like money grows on trees or something. Is it really a waste to get the heads fixed and still drive my car or should I just chalk it up as a lost and wish for money I will never have to buy another.
