My 88 T-bird was running fine for having over 180,000 miles on it. One day I was leaving for work when I noticed a lot of white smoke billowing from the back of the car. I stoppes immediately to find that I had water running from my exhaust pipe. Others have told me it is either a cracked block or a blown head gasket. I'm looking for more opinions.

Thank You

Unfortnuately, what others have told your are the highly likely causes, (the other is a cracked head) especially if you had smoke billowing out the back of the car. If the smoke is coming out the tail pipe, it means water is getting into the combustion chamber and turning into steam.

Water gets into the combustion chamber with either a cracked head, cracked block, or busted head gasket.

The most likely cause is a bad head gasket, but at 180K, and a car that's almost 20 years old, it probably won't be worth fixing.

Sounds like a head gasket, usually that is the cause of water leaking from your exhaust, cracked blocks are rare.

Most likely a blown head gasket from what you described

it could just be a bad head gasket. it could be a cracked head or block. the only way to know is to open the motor up and take a look. good luck

sounds like the head gaskets, if it were a cracked block it would be leaking coolant.
