My check engine light has been on for months, in addition to my exhaust blowing black sut and rough engine idle. I had a system check performed at a local mechanic shop. Their diagnosis was I had 2 fuel injectors losing pressure causing my problems($1000 dollar repair estimate to replace injection system). Does this sound legitimate with the injectors losing pressure causing this? I know the repair estimate is about right. I appreciate your responses.

I just stripped one side of my truck. In doing this there is a few spots that are gray. They seem thick,,but are soft due to the chemical stripping I have done. My question,,how to tell if its bondo,,or primer. I see no big or small dents in these area's, front or back of the panel. Any answer's would be nice. ThANKS

I just got home after spending the summer away and my sister has been driving my car while I was gone. Right before I left (in April), I told her that she needed to change the oil ASAP. Well, when I returned home yesterday I found out that she has STILL yet to change the oil. I plan on taking it in tomorrow, but I'm just curious what effect (temporary or permanent) this will have on my car?

It's a 2003 Jeep Liberty and it has about 46000 miles on it. The oil was supposed to be changed at 41,000 miles. I'd really appreciate any information you could give me!

I thought it to be in my fuel system but I changed the fuel filter, the fuel pump is good & I had my electric control module tested and the results were good. What else could it possible be?
Timing maybe?

I have a 2000 Ford Focus and my brakes were going bad.. so everything was replaced by a professional mechanic. New brake shoes, pads, rotors, calibers, master cylinder, and brake booster. Now I have no petal, when I press down on the brake it goes right down to the floor and gives no resistance at all. The car does not stop. The mechanic doesn't know what is wrong with it and cannot fix it. I'm looking at forking over MORE money to have it looked at by someone else and I have already gone into considerable debt just on the work that I've had done. If anyone can offer any answers, or suggestions about what may be wrong, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

my daughters car, which is a 96 Mustang. was having problems with wanting to run slow and not pick up speed so we just had the transmission serviced and was fine for a couple of days. Now it is doing the same thing and smoking from the exhaust. Any ideas what we can check for?

I took my car there cause my transmission was ******. so they said it would be 1700 to fix. i said okay and i paid it. They "fixed" it and a couple days later it esses up again. So i took it back and they "fixed it " again. so i go and pick it up and they tell me if they could keep it for one more day to see if the computer is causing the poblem. So i LET them, and then te next day they said it was okay. So i drove it and a month later it messes up AGAIN. I just took it back a few days ago and they said theyre checking it to see if its the computer messing it up. They said they might have to replace it. Im thinking that they might charge me? am i obligated to pay? and what if it messes up again? am i obligated for a full refund?

I've got a '03 Ford Focus LX with 60 + K miles on it. Also, I've seen transmission flushes with and without a filter change. Isn't it necessary to get your filter changed?

Mine is going out and I received an estimate for $525.00. $60 of it for the part and the rest is all labor. Does this seem about right?? Is it really that much labor???

Is there a common reason the abs light comes on? Could it be just a relay or something or something major. I jammed on brakes on purpose to see if it was a false indication and definetly the abs is not working. 75000 miles on truck.

Have experienced it twice, both whilst travelling at about 50-60 MPH.
Have laid under it and looked for any play in the prop shaft and universal joint, checked my donut and sliding joint but can not see anything obvious.
No loss of braking/steering or handling and disappears as mysteriously as it appears!
It only lasts a few seconds, but is really really violent juddering!
Any fellow 4x4 or Landy fans got any ideas?
Thanks!

We are about to purchase this car and someone told us not to purchase it unless the timing belt had been replaced. The car has 77,100 miles on it. Can anyone give me any information about this and why this is necessary? Thanks so much!!

I have a 95 honda civic ex coupe with a D16Z6 motor.... I've been told by countless people that I should slap a turbo on it with a manual boost control and have it at like 4psi.... the car itself runs exelent the only thing is that it's an automatic (will deffinatly change tranny to stick in the future) and the fact that the car has around 200,000miles.... i bought it from my aunt and she babied the car like crazy so there is no engine damage what-so-ever.... I would just like to know if I WAS to put a turbo on.... what other mods or upgrades would I need to put on in order for my car to still run ok and not run the chance of ruining anything?

If I need to replace all four of my tires is it safe to buy one tire at a time. My plan is to buy one over the my next four pay periods or will it mess something up? Also if I need an alignment should I get that first?

We have a 1999 Dodge Caravan and the air conditioner takes about 20 minutes to start cooling and then it doesn't even get that cool. I read that you can put in your own freon but that you need some kind of kit and I haven't been able to find that. I am not paying some guy $80 to do it and not even fix the leak so I want to do it myself but I have no idea how. I don't know how or where to put the freon, surely it can't be that hard so if someone could tell me how that would be really nice. Thanks!!
