I have a 94 Achieva and it won't start. Stored it for the winter and now it won't start. Replaced the Crankshaft sensor and coil for the spart plugs. The Engine turns but will not fire up. So we took in the Starter and replaced it also. Still no go, Battery is fully charged . If you hold the key in you will start to see smoke come out of the engine but no start. Anyone have any other ideas?BTW it is the 2.3L engine by GM with the OHC 4 cylinder set up.

It needs an engine rebuild, suspension work, interior, paint, etc. I live in Ventura County (California). Do you know of any good shops that specialize in classic restorations for things I can't do myself? Thanks!

I have a 1980 chevy stepside truck I restored. The tail lights brake lights are on when I turn on my headlights at night. So the rear turn signals and brake lights will not flash when brakes are applied or flash when turn signals are used. The lights are bright like the brake is being applied all of the time. But my front turn signals will work just fine. When the headlights are off, The rear lights work just fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had sent my car off for its free annual service from BMW. All this was done no problems but when my car arrived back, their driver informed me that the windscreen wipers had broken during his journey. BMW collected the car and are now informing me I have to pay £127 to have this fixed. Should i be responsible for having fixed something that wasn't in my possesion at the time? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i already knew how to drive a manual car so i did not stall or grind often in the beginning but this morning when i pushed my clutch pedal down to start the car but it seemed like it had no resistance half way and was somewhat resistant at the last inch or so. but my car started normally and then to my surprise even though my clutch was down all the way my car wouldnt go into reverse! it started making a grinding noise so i try putting it into first and it wouldnt go. it wouldnt go into any gears. whats wrong with my car? does this mean i burnt out my clutch or i need more fluid? i drive a 2000 integra ls 95000

at the most recent visit, they overfilled the oil by about 3/4 of a quart. Is this harmful? It is a 97 chev S10 4 cyl. Last trip they fixed a leaking tire that I didnt have nor ask for. I could go on and on. I know, you ask why I go back. I'm a little short on common sense.

I didn't slow down for a turn. Dumb on my part. It's fun taking corners sharp. I don't do it anymore after this. But I was at a light and i took a left turn real quick and I saw a motorcycle come up on the same direction I was turning, so i swerved a bit to not hit them. And i hit a draining ditch curb. It was loud. I almost lost control. I'm a young driver. And So then I pulled over off the road. and the right passenger side rim was scratched. And my tires were okay. I was frickin scared. Now theres some scratches on it. Only on a certain part. Will it rust. They are custom. I don't know if they are chrome or aluminum. And I don't have enough money to take it to the shop yet. This is my car and I don't want my parents to know. Do I need to get anything checked out also? My signal light came off too and I shoved it back in.

I recently purchased a new Nissan Versa hatchback. There was a scratch about 7 inches long on the hatchback door at the time of purchase. The dealership has offered to send it to a local body shop to repaint the entire door. I've heard horror stories about body shop paint jobs starting to crack and peel within a year or two. I really don't know how deep it is. Am I better off just leaving this scratch or should I get the paint job?

I am thinking about buying a v6 5 speed car in KS. It has sat for around 6 months. Will it be bad to drive it about 1 mile to where I am going to have the gas drained oil drained and the coolant flushed? Is there anything else that needs to be done? It also has had new tires put on it just before it was set out. Will it also be ok to drive for that mile and will it run with a bad EGR valve?

My car engine died and it was told to me it has no compression. I recently had head work done to the engine and I think the mechanic might have done something wrong. The mechanic claims my radiator is why my engine overheated and died. Can a bad radiator cause compression loss or is it because of the repair work done to the head?

My civic will just stop running. Then it will not start up, maybe for an hour or so. We struggled with this for months-no one could figure it out. The dealer has replaced the battery, distributor, throttle body with map and tp sensor (they had it for 2 months). We just got it back, same problem. We drove it about 25 miles. Stopped for about an hour. Then we started the car and drove it about 100 feet-it shut down and will not restart. It has a new hot battery. The engine turns over fine, it will just not restart right away. When its running-it runs fine-no problems???
Any ideas??? thanks a lot-

When I add freon to my vehicle, it cools down the car for a few days and then goes away. Is there possibly a leak? If so, how do I fix it? The air still blows out - in fact, when turned to the heat side, the car heats up. So what are your suggestions?
Best,

Earlier today I was going to go to the gas station but its so d*** expensive. So i ran to the kitchen and pulled out some of that white vinegar sh*t and filled it in my gas tank. You'd think it'll work since they both are 4-methyl ancillicilicates but my car isn't running now and I'm afraid I ruined something. I called the mechanic and he said I was an idiot and repairs could run $500+ I know hes just trying to fleece me so I tried to fix it myself. I tried to counter act the effects with bleach since it is a base but I think I messed up the fuel system even worse. What should I do?
