If you are NOT a Mechanic,If you don't have a friend or a relative who is a mechanic? then you are at the mechanic's mercy !! They will tell you that you need the cylinder head to be resurfaced which a lie, then they will tell you that bottom end will not be able to take the pressure built by the remanufactured cylinder head, so you better be prepared to spend A Lot of MONEY ???? A$300.00 Job will cost you Over $1000.00. !!!

I was just wanting to know from want2quit, was that price for one or both head gaskets?, and also where you had it done, I am permanently disabled and unable to do my own repairs any longer, and I also need head gaskets replaced on my car right now, I'd certainly appreciate the information because that's a heck of a good price, Thank You,
George

hello. I'd say go to a Ford dealership, or a shop you know of, and trust. I did my head gasket in my 'way back when', but it was a little Datsun. : }

about the least you,ll probably get by with it around 600 bucks,that would be the least they,ll do it for,id be prepared to pay more but that's the average starting price,for that job,good luck on it.
