I have an 03 Trailblazer that is reading p0128. The man at the dealership couldn't really give me a straight answer and kinda sounded like he was trying to make a little more $ off of me instead of helping so I'm trying to find out exactly what it means and what needs to happen to fix it. If anyone has had this before, what did you do to fix it? Or if you know where I can find more info about the codes, that would be appreciated too.

Smoke billowed up sides of car. Got out with child and pet. Reputable mechanic determined that wrong engine oil filter was used causing all the oil to come out. There was no oil in car when arrived in mechanics shop after tow. Est. cost to replace with new engine $5,700; used engine $3,700. Car is 2001 Camry with 73,000 miles. Need advice. How am I made "whole"?

Recently my car was put into a auto shop to due to the Igintion Cylinder needing to be replaced. Well When the car was taken to the shop the mechanics there couldn't find a problem (my boyfriend and co owner of car was the one handling) Well I late that day had mentioned that the security light was blinking off and on, this was relaid back to the mechanic and they found problem, prior to my boyfriend telling them this they could not find a problem, They did not work on my car at all so they say. Well the auto shop told us that is was going to be $640 for then to put in the part and all the work they did. Also if we did not want them to do anything to the car then we sould have to pay $359 for us to get the car out with no work done, Coming from a family where my father knows about cars and car repair which is the person who would always fixed my car in AZ, we live to FL so he can't fix the car anymore, Anyway he said that if they would have turnned on the car and looked at the gages then they would have known right away, They towed the car there at 10:30am and didn't find the problem until after my boyfriend told them about the security light that turnned on (I thought it was a dummy light because it was blinking off and on for a month) Which the time was around 3:30pm The other thing was that they did not have consent from either myself or my boyfriend but had consent from his mother and grandfather to go ahead and fix the car and the price came down to $540. Before I knew that his family had done this stupid thing, I was calling around for estimates on how much the part was first place I called was the Chevorlet Dealership which the parts department quoted me the part was $187 and change and the service department quoted me $102 dollars for labor and coding the part. Then I called Pepboys and they told me that they do not sell the part because it needs to be taken to the dealership so that they can recode the part. So my question is do I have a case? Either way the auto shop is fixing the car because of his family. So as of right now we have to pay the $540. What should we do?

I've tried to drill a hole through the knackered head and use a removal tool that attaches to my drill. When I was trying to remove the thread/screw it broke my removal tool!!! I've tried knotching the head and hitting it to get it to turn to no avail also.

Any suggestions?

Any and all welcomed!

Specs:
1991 Honda Civic HB
d15b2 engine 1.5 liters
155000 miles

i have owned the car for about 3 months,
the burning oil was very consistent at first, but now it seems to be burning more oil. Very little or no smoke comes out at idle, but once the gas is pessed, blue smoke comes out of the exhaust, especially when the car was just started. Just this week tho the car started to run very slow, seems like no compression. So i havent driven it past 4k rpm to be safe.
I think it might be the valve seals, but a professional answer would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Do you know what it is?

There's the damage. It isn't very deep, but I have no clue how thick the sidewall of this tire is. I've heard enough stories about people who have totaled their cars after one of the tires blew out, so I'm very nervous about this.

Hey guys, yesterday I got my tires balanced and rotated when I took it in for an oil change. The place was about a mile from my house and everything was fine. This morning on the way to work, my wheel shakes and it pulls to the right quickly. My new car has 25k miles on it and every tire is the orginial except for one I got 10k miles ago because one of my tires had a nail in the sidewall.

I think my new tire may be cause the wheel to shake and car pull to the right side. Should I go to Sears and get a wheel alignment or should I have the car shop go re-balance my tires?

This seems to disappear as I drive faster (highway speeds). The squeal is not constant (each squeal is maybe two seconds long each time and is intermittent) and is on the left side. It also only lasts for the first couple of minutes of driving. Just started last week.

Additional details: I drive a 2000 Chevy Malibu LS with about 144,500 miles on it. Nothing major has thus gone wrong so far. Last major tune-up was at about 115,000 miles. Other routine maintenance (brakes, oil, filters, etc) is done on a constant and routine basis. The only three things that have gone wrong with it were before 50,000 miles, and that was the turn signals (which was a recall; got those fixed); what turned out to be a minor problem with the radiator (under warranty); and change-over of the fuel pump (again, under warranty).
