Hey guys, yesterday I got my tires balanced and rotated when I took it in for an oil change. The place was about a mile from my house and everything was fine. This morning on the way to work, my wheel shakes and it pulls to the right quickly. My new car has 25k miles on it and every tire is the orginial except for one I got 10k miles ago because one of my tires had a nail in the sidewall.
I think my new tire may be cause the wheel to shake and car pull to the right side. Should I go to Sears and get a wheel alignment or should I have the car shop go re-balance my tires?

My car steering wheel vibrates when I reach about 65 MPH. When I brake they really don't cause much of a problem. I think my car pulls to the right because of the brand new tire may be in driver front.
I think it could just be the balance because my car didn't pull before this incident.

First things first was the tire with more tread moved to the right front there is your pull. Next vibration at what speed and does this happen while braking? braking vibrations may be warped brake rotors low speed vibrations that get faster with speed 40 miles an hour and up are mostly likely tires ballance or internal failures and out of roundness. If you did not hit a curb or do something to knock the car out of alignment fix the tires first. Factory original Good Year Eagle LS or General brands are inexpensive for the manufacture to use. Don't expect to just buy one more mis matched tire to fix your problem. Step right up buy a new set of four tires good quality brand name tires then have a lifetime alignment done on all four wheels if necessary. GO online tirerack.com get sears discount or NTB to match there prices with shipping and delevery or use one of the tire rack's approved installers

A tire having more tread than the rest of them on the car will not cause a pull. I've got years in the tire business to back that. If that new tire was on the back and got moved to the front and now it is causing a pull, it is a bad tire. Manufacturer's defect. Make them replace it now. (The longer you wait the more it will cost you out of your own pocket).
For the shake, it could be the bad tire (likely) or it could be a wheel weight fell off.
Either way, go make the shop that you got the tire from replace it. If they try to put it on the right rear, then tell them no. If they insist, and it was Sears, then threaten them with their 800 number. Make them put a new new tire on it.

Check your lug nuts, one of them might be loose. I would suspect the right front, but don't rule out ant of the other three.
An odd tire might cause a little extra wear, but unless it is drastically different, should not cause it to pull.

I WOULD FIRST HAVE THE SHOP RE-BALANCE YOUR TIRES AND MAKE SURE THAT ALL LUG NUTS ARE TIGHTEN WITHOUT USING AN IMPACT THEN DRIVE IT.
I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO HAVE YOUR ALIGNMENT CHECKED AND SET IF NECESSARY AND THIS SHOULD BE DONE AT LEAST EVERY 20,000 MILES.
