I have an 03 Trailblazer that is reading p0128. The man at the dealership couldn't really give me a straight answer and kinda sounded like he was trying to make a little more $ off of me instead of helping so I'm trying to find out exactly what it means and what needs to happen to fix it. If anyone has had this before, what did you do to fix it? Or if you know where I can find more info about the codes, that would be appreciated too.

P0128 almost always is a thremostat that is stuck slightly open causing the engine to warm up to slowly. Quick warm up is essential for proper emissions. Try a new thermostat first change the coolant and have Auto-Zone clear the code.

I find most of the time a P0128 is caused by a faulty thermostat. There could be other problems like a faulty sensor or a wiring / connector issue. Most of the time it is a faulty thermostat.
