Every time it rains, I get some white salt-like deposits on the roof of my car. They drip down from the parking garage roof above. The deposits are incredibly hard to wash off. I have vigorously scrubbed them off, only after noticing that I left many little scratches on my cars body as well. Is there a solution that will first break down the chemical composition so that it would be easier to scrub away?

This car could be driven by putting off the engine and then putting in gear and then starting. To change gear was almost impossibe. I have now tried to do the same by putting it in reverse and starting but the battery seems too weak. Now it will not even come out of gear even when the engine is off.

Hey guys,
My Honda Pilot's windshield (the cockpit side) has this really thin film of grease or something... I didn't do anything bad, like I didn't spill anything. I think everyone has this thin film, but my buildup is kinda visible at night, when the streetlights shine through and diffuse through the grease... does anyone know a good cleaning product, I tried Windex, but that's for household purposes... not automotive applications.

yesterday i was sitting in my car [2000 Eclipse GT 5speed] with the engine running for a few minutes, forgot that it was on, and as i was about to leave i turned the key to start my car up, and realized it was already on by the loud grinding/crunching sound. i drove to a nearby store, turned the car off, and 5 minutes later came back, and ever since then my car wont start or even turn over. could this have completely killed my starter permanently? i read on yahoo something about the solenoid being "seized" or stuck in the "start" position, and a good tap with a hammer can put it back to normal. do you know anything about this? i am planning on removing the starter and taking to advance auto parts to have tested, but even if it comes up as a "bad" starter, can i cure it with a hammer or something simple? and if it comes up as a "good" starter, is it still possible that it could be showing "good" on the test because only the solenoid is messed up? PLEASE help, i have no ride now.

My 1995 saturn is running on three cylinders with only 30% lbs of pressure, according to my mechanic. I am driving it - it runs very rough at 40mph and then smooths out once you get to 50mph and upwards. Is it doomed to the junk yard?

I just bought a 2002 Dodge Stratus, but had the dealership replace the outer tie rod before buying it. Now, when I am driving and going at a constant pace on a smooth road I feel the car (wheels) sort of going bump-bump-bump, but it is at the same rate. Could this be a problem with the outer tie rod like if they didn't put it on right? Or is there something else wrong? I would really appreciate any advice. Also, is the dealership responsible for this? I have a 30 day warranty but it's over on Wednesday :-\.

Thanks!!

up on the pass side button you can hear the motor clicking tryin to roll the window up but window is already up, so took door apart and reversed polarity to motor and pushing up on the switch should have rolled the window down which it did, so that was telling me that the motor is fine. Pushing up on the driver side button does not do anything, no clicking or anything, and if i unplug the driver side switches then the pass wont work at all telling me that the problem would be at the main switch on the driver side door, the whole thing is a circuit board, so im deff leaning towards the driver side switch being bad not allowing even the pass side to work properly either, had someone say their might be a power window relay, their isnt for that year and car, so im stuck at the switch right now till i get the new one and put it in and seeing if it works, anyone have any other suggestions before i get this switch, thanks a lot for any info!

Is this a legitimate amount. I work with the person and we decided not to go through insurance companies since I knew I was completely at fault. I just have no idea how much something like that costs. She says it can't be buffed out it has to be completely repainted. She has the bill and is mailing it to me. It seemed like a lot to me. Any thoughts?
