Please stop buy you local auto parts store and pick up a bottle of hand glaze.Hand glaze is a great cleaner to remove all the water spots from your car.Take your time with the cleaner and when your done install a good coat of wax to seal the finish.

I worked in a lime plant for ten years and every day had those spots on my car. Would only wash it once a week after being there so long.
The best way to remove them since what your talking about is a calcium deposit. Is citric acid. However, if your looking for something everyone has that will do the job also with out damaging the paint. Then good old fashioned vinegar works great as well.
Basically what your looking to do is mix one cup of vinegar to one gallon of water. Take a soft cloth and just wipe them away. make sure you buff and apply a good wax after as the vinegar will also remove the previous wax job.
