Every time it rains, I get some white salt-like deposits on the roof of my car. They drip down from the parking garage roof above. The deposits are incredibly hard to wash off. I have vigorously scrubbed them off, only after noticing that I left many little scratches on my cars body as well. Is there a solution that will first break down the chemical composition so that it would be easier to scrub away?

Those deposits are calcium diluted from the concrete...try using Lime-away or CLR ( get them at hardware or home center stores) to first break down the deposits....squirt it on and let it sit for a while, then wash off only...should not have to rub too hard....repeat if necessary. We had a few similiar cars in our shop with that problem and it worked great. The scratches you already have may be able to be buffed out...try a body shop or detail shop. And find another parking spot..........Paul
