Why? ...If you you don't how can you say something is actually fixed if you haven't tried it under normal operating conditions. If you are not a mecanic do you expect them to try the vehicle before returning it to you?

I have A '98 Ford F-150 Super Cab 4.6 V8. I just got it 3 weeks ago. The engine light flashes for a little while then stays on. If i give it a little gas it starts to shake and spit and sputters, but if I give it alot of gas or idle I have no problems. Im thinking its the plugs and/or wires. Is their something else i need to worry about?

My 88 Chevy Beretta has a 2.0 Liter engine, its a 4cylinder, automatic. The scraping noise only happens when I accelerate, not when its idling. The noise appears to be coming from the drivers side of the motor. I cant afford to take it to the shop to be fixed, and I need to get this repaired before it becomes something major, if it hasnt already. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would appreciate it. I have added more details about the car, This is about all the information that I have. Thanks. SLP.

I'll be getting a new set of tires and wish to mount them and get a wheel alignment at 2 different places (cost difference). Should I get them mounted first and then do the alignment or do the alignment first and get the new tires mounted? Or, should they really be done at the same time?

Thanks

Say if I poured several litres of nitro into a petrol car fuel tank, that was half full of petrol. So 50/50, would it cause the car to explode at any point or will it just wreck the engine? Is there any substance that when poured into a petrol or diesel tank will blow the car up on ignition if there is still petrol in the tank?

I am about to do up (fix up) a 1979 Holden HZ Kingswood 253 V8 sedan, there is a lot of work involved I know, but am prepared to put the time and effort (and as little money as possible) into the project. It was Dad's car and I love it so I really want to get her on the road again.

Major issues identified........so far....

Floor pan (front both sides)
Diver side pillar..... rust damage

Am a bit scared to have the windscreen taken out for fear of what lies beneath.......

I think it's called a cow panel maybe its channel not sure, its where the front vents sit, between bonnet and windscreen, anyway whatever its called, it is probably in fairly bad shape considering the extent of damage to the floor.

Any way I am a fairly mechanical girl and am not scared of attempting welding or of any power tools, my goal is to get the car fit and well so I can get it registered and usable.

I have the pans ready.

Hope someone can give me a few clues on where to start.

A few days ago, I back my car and accidently hit the curb. Now my car is making really loud noises (like a truck) coming the exhaust system or the right corner of the back of the car. I think it could be that my muffler is broken because I heard noises coming out of it. My car is not that old so should I get it repair or replace the muffler? I think the muffler is the only part that was broken, not the pipes or exhaust system.

My car was recently repaired after an accident, the mechanic replaced radiator, battery, all front lights, and the computer. Now the turning lights on the right side are always on, they do blink when you signal to turn but stay on when you already turned, the same thing on the brake lights left side, they stay on even if you are not pressing on the brake

The droplines on the main manifold for the cooler injectors have frozen shut and the back bleed of the plazma coolant has taken my first and secondary engines offline. I've fallen out of warp and my impulse seems to be compromised.

Any thoughts???

I have a 10 year old Volvo and it runs and looks great, with exception to the interior's ceiling. At first, little bubbles showed up on the laminated cloth interior. These just grew and grew, now I have bags bumping on my head. If I just rip this out, it would look awful. How can I "glue" this fabric back on?
