if it does start you have to keep your foot on the gas or it will die. please help can not figure what it is.

Fuel filter, then if that doesn't work try a fuel pump. Fuel filter is the cheaper route.

Sounds like the carb is having issues. Preferably check for air leaks like vacuum line or something like that on or around the intake. Take some ether and spray around the base of the carb and areas to see if it changes the pitch of the engine. IF it does you will have found your leak.

These back yard mechanics make me laugh, especially when they don't know if yoru vehicle is carb or fuel injection. LOL

i own a repair shop,and you either have a bad fuel pump or a clogged up filter on it,it really sounds like a filter,because if it was a fuel pump it wouldn't be running any at all,id try changing the fuel filter on it,its a cheap fix and if it works your only out a few bucks,if not check it for fuel pressure,good luck with it.

bad carborator or fuel injections, sounds liek 1of them is clogged
