after running my car and it warms up the fuel pump wont turn on, untill i let it sit for about fifteen minutes, and sometimes when i start my car when its cold it idles really low and i have to self idle it and the rpms jump other times it runs perfect. I just replaced the fuel pump so i dont know what else it could be

Sounds like a fuel pump relay could be going out. Your idle problem almost sounds like a carburator choke not adjusted properly. I'm assuming you have a computer controlled vehicle, and the Idle Air Control motor is functioning intermittently. Check your computer for fault codes, it will help narrow down possible problems. Low idle problems when cold could also be your timing advance is'nt working right. (ignition) Hope this gives you a place to start, good luck!

Throttle postion sensor would explain the jumping up, and your fuel pump should "click" on when you turn the ignition to the On position, without starting your car.

Fuel filter, IAC or maybe a vaccuum leak Need to know what kind of car make model year, motor size, ect.... to better tell you.

Depending on the car if it has a distributer, the cap, rotor button, or the coil could be bad.
