The car has not been used for a while, new battery and the headlights work but nothing else will come on. No interier lights, no radio, nothing happens when you turn the key.

I have a 98 Ford Mustang on which the blower moter for the AC and heater stopped working. Could it be a fuse or a relay switch that I could fix or is this something that I will have to take to the dealer and spend an arm and a leg on? Where in the engine compartment would the fuse or relay switch be located?

thanks

I recently attempted to lower my 93 civic by putting springs on it and now it's really bouncy and annoying. Does anyone know a better idea to lower your vehicle without it bouncing and bottoming out at every bump in the road? Something that won't break the bank either?

Hey there! I have an old 1994 Chevy Corsica and it's been literally nothing but problems since I got it in June from my grandfather. Just recently it wouldn't start for me, my father came home and really reefed on it and it started. I was told that was blocked spark plugs, got a whole new set, no problem now.

For the past 2 weeks or so, the car has been squealing. It's not very consistent though. Doesn't do one time and then the next it's awful. My grandpa thought it was the belt, then determined it wasn't. Then said maybe it was a leak in the exhaust, but after hearing it said it couldn't be. His final guess as he listened was something to do with the power steering box, but he says it makes no sense as to why it doesn't do it as the wheel is turned. It does it lightly while sitting idle and then worse as more pressure is added to the gas. Any ideas at all as to what it could be?? I just hate the sound of it and I know it's not supposed to be doing that. Thanks in advance

Since the dealer is asking $750, I would like to know if it is easy to replace the condenser and the dryer myself on a 2002 Avalon and then have the system refilled with an A/C specialist. Prices vary greatly from brand to brand and I was wondering if a Denso at $250 is much better than a Silla at $110. Thanks for your help.

I just had my car windows professionally tinted (2003 honda accord coupe). I didn't realize until after I left that the tint on the rear window doesn't go all the way to the top of the glass. It stops right before those dots around the edge that (I understand) are there to keep the window from cracking from heat. (The tint does go to the edge on the sides and bottom, although the dots cover 3-4 inches on the top of the rear window, and only an inch or so on the other sides.) I'm going to go back to see if it can be fixed; but is there a reason for this?

I am looking to buy a car for between $8000-$12000. I looking at two possibilities: either buying a a regular car with mileage around 40,000-55000(possibly a Mitsubishi Eclipse(2001). The option I was thinking about is getting a higher mileage luxury car. I have heard about Lexus's and BMW's that literally run forever, and I was thinking that even if I bought one of them that had high miles, I could still get a lot of life out of it. I would appreciate advice on whether its better to buy a cheaper car with low miles or a luxury car with high miles in the price range of $8-$12000.

My back rear right side of my car is making a clicking sound and a few times I'm at a stop light, the bottom of my car is making a loud horn sound with a vibration. Do you have any clue as to what it could be? And, how much you think it may cost? (so I don't get screwed over by them) Thanks.

I have an '84 Chevy Camaro Z28 that is in good shape for its age. Engine is the G code HO engine with 113K miles. When I go to start the engine first thing in the morning, it won't start. Holding the gas pedal down doesn't seem to work that great, but if I pump the gas pedal 5-9 times and THEN try to start it, it fires up almost right away. After that, it starts on the first try for the rest of the day. The problem only occurs after it has been sitting overnight. Any ideas on what the problem is? I'm doing most of the work on the car myself, and I'm pretty new to cars (I'm living out of my Haynes & Chilton's guides). Most of my money is going to parts to restore/improve the car, so I don't want to take it to a mechanic unless I absolutely have to... Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

If I buy a repair manual that tells me how I can rent a garage that has a lift and all of the tools would need. I also have very little mechanical experience.

I have a 1986 325e, with a replaced radiator/water pump/thermostat/new belts

My heater only works on selection 4 and A/C doesn't work
The car overheats ONLY at IDLE and its intermittent however it overheats more so than it doesn't, when I step on the accelerator the car immediately cools down. There is not a coolant or oil leak at all under the car or spewing under the hood.

I can be drivng along, and my car runs just fine. Then, all of a sudden it sarts missing, spitting and sputtering, and it looses power. It also starts jumping and jerking. I can keep drivng it, and it clears up. It also acts ike I have water in my gas, but I have put some additives in my tank that dries up water. I can't figure out what the problem is. I have checked the O2 sensor, the fuel control sensor, the fuel filter, the transmission filter, plugs, and plug wires. I just can't seem to figure it out. Is there someting that I have missed?

I was parked at a red light yesterday and my bronco just shut off, no shuddering or anything, no problems before, it just plain shut off like someone flipped a switch. I checked the colission fuel shutoff switch but it was fine, I replaced the ECM, I can hear the fuel pump prime when i turn the ignition but its like its not getting any fuel or spark. Any suggestions???
