That wire is connected to your ignition coil. Looks like someone ran a jump wire to it, may have been losing fire. You will need to have some wiring work done & may need to replace your coil.

It looks like an aftermarket anti-theft system was connected at that point. The connection is not weatherproof and may be corroded. You should disconnect the wire and clean the connection. See if the car runs with the wire off.
Open up the wrap around the wires. There may be a partially broken wire in there.

From your picture, it looks like there is a lot of mud or dirt or something all over the engine. The blue connector may have a broken wire, a defective crimp onto the wire, or some kind of corrosion that is making the engine stop running while the car is in motion. Try replacing and re-crimping the blue connector.

nicely, i can't see the photograph of the subject. besides the fact that if, i understand to a lot of being stranded with autos. are you able to take it back to the mechanic and tell him what you got here upon and ought to that probably be a difficulty that each and every physique started this entire mess. If he ought to in step with hazard fix the subject altogether precise than in step with hazard the motor vehicle will run extra useful. If not in step with hazard curiously like wires or plugs might want changing. I choose you lots success.

the thing that your wire connects to is your ignition coil. for some reason somebody ran a jumper wire to it. for the fastest fix, solder that connection until you can find out how to fix it right.
