My ABS warning light on my dashboard comes on at times when I start my car. If I trun my car off and start at some other time, it does not come on? So the warning light seems to have a mind of its own !!

The brake lights work fine when the headlights are off, however when you turn the headlights on the brake lights stay on, Why is this ? Thought it may be a short but I have checked the cluster and the wiring is in good nick with no corrosion. Could it be a relay, but i dont know where the relay box is, any ideas

The oil leak does not leak onto the floor, however the engine is beginning to get messy. The oil level seems to be ok. I am looking at selling the car, but was wondering if it would be best to fix the oil leak first or sell it at a reduced price with the oil leak. Would anyone be able to tell me roughly how much it will cost to repair?

I have a 93 saturn sl2 and if i drive it for more than an hour it starts to studder and lose drive and die on me. it will always start right back up but as soon as i put it in drive or reverse it dies. and if i let it sit for a day it will be alright again for about another hour. ive replaced the fuel filter, tranny fluid and filter, spark plugs, and cleaned out a sensor on the intake. can anyone help? last night i was driving it after i replaced the tranny filter to see if it helped and it did alittle bit but then it started to act up again. but when it lost drive i just kept my foot on the gas and it never died. just wouldnt go over 10 mph. and sometimes it would kick back in for a sec and be normal. i wanna say its a sensor but im not for sure.

Suddenly the tire locked up and did not respond to the steering wheel. A while back I slid into a curb and it threw my alignment on the left front tire off. What can it be?

My 98 Windstar van is developing some strange quirks. The door switches that controll the interior lights and "door ajar" idiot light on the dash are not reading correct. The doors are completely shut, yet the interior lights remain on and when the drivers door is the "problem" the chime continues ringing alerting that the key is still in the ignition. This is a real annoyance. Is it possible this could be a result of low voltage from the electrical sytsem since the battery is getting old and could be becoming too weak? It still turns over good and starts well. Has anyone else experienced these types of problems due to battery problems?

in a parking lot, another car was clearly trying to park next to me and their side view mirror dug into the driver side of my car while they moved forward and left a 3 foot long strip (1 inch high) of what looks to be paint or residue from the mirror. there is also a dent but i'm trying to get the scratch/residue out and see how it looks. any suggestions? thx

I asked a question about whether or not I could do it myself, and I know now that I'm going to pay a shop. I've got prices - $50 for a drain, fill, and filter replacement. $120 for a 100% flush. Do I need to spring for the full service at 35k miles?

Should the mechanics have picked up the motor mounts being bad upon taking out the transmission and rebuilding it. After they rebuilt it and I got the car back it went out 7 days later. They told me they would not warranty it because the motor mounts broke causing the selinoid to hit something and go bad. The transmission went back to doing the same thing it did before the rebuild.

94 Geo Metro, purchased FEB07. Has a brand new starter (JAN07), and it started every time.

Few weeks ago it didn't start- the key would turn all the way in the ignition, but nothing. Not even a click- just like when your battery dies.

It's not the battery and the problem isn't consistent. I can start it 10 times in a day and only once or twice it won't start, and can take 3 - 7 tries to finally start (with praying and begging).

It happened in the Good Year shop (tire patch) and they suggested the ignition switch. Would really appreciate your feedback.

PS - Key is a bit of a pain- doesn't always turn door locks first try, same for going into the ignition at times. Can a key cause this issue?

Not sure what it is, but it makes a grinding noise, unless that is the brakes which are almost totally out. But anyways, wondering what this could be, it doesn't sound or look good at all. Also, how much would it cost to fix on average. This is a 1994 ford explorer by the way. And if you could tell me how much with breaks being fixed and a couple used tires put on how much it would be that would be great. I know I need new break pads and possibly rotors. Please let me know what this would all cost to fix.
