Last night my key got stuck in my car, this morning my dad put oil around it and it slipped out thank goodness, but now we are scared it might get stuck again what should i do?

Spray some WD-40 into the keyslot should prevent that from happening again. Just a little squirt is enough.

Work the key a bit. Also twist the steering wheel a little. Sometimes they jam against each other.

Your ignition lock cylinder is wearing out. Some oil might help for a while, but eventually it will get worse.

I had a similar problem once. I got a new ignition lock cylinder from the Ford dealership. They used the key code to match it to my door locks so that the new keys would still open the doors and trunk.

I'm pretty handy, so I was able to install it myself. Your father could probably do it.
