I am after rear brake calipers for my 2001 1.8 petrol mondeo. The rear brakes have started to bind and have been told I need new calipers but at £200 each to fix I need to find some 'cheap one's. Anyone help?

Cheapest place i would say would be a motor factors. £200 each sound a bit high. Ive payed about £75 for mazda front calipers and they are normally more expensive than the british cars. Shop around the motor factors to because they vary from shop to shop. And make sure you keep the old ones because sometimes the put a surcharge on them until you hand the old ones back. Last resort is a scrapyard. But you might end up with something worse.

There are places all over the UK that sell origional and pattern parts fr virtually all makes of cars.
U will find them all over the exchange and mart, just go to Ford section, it will be there.

You don't need new callipers ,you need to loosen off the calliper pistons ,it will take a engineer no more than a hour to repair .
